Consultations

A detailed case history during your consultation will allow us to identify the root cause of your symptoms. Together, we will explore your family medical history, early year experiences, trauma and recent triggers, alongside the imbalances in the body that have resulted in your current health struggles.

Functional testing may be recommended to assist the information gathered during the case history. Examples include stool analysis, thyroid function testing, and a hormone panel. Functional testing clarifies our direction, enabling us to create a targeted plan.

Supplements may be suggested along with your personal nutrition plan to support your health journey . While the goal should be to get the majority of nutrients from food, supplements can speed up improvements. This is especially important in cases of depletion.

What To Expect

  • Once you have booked your initial consultation, you will receive links to important pre-clinical documents. These include a 3-day food diary, family medical history, and medication and supplements list. Please ensure you return them 24 hours before the consult.

  • An initial consultation is 75 minutes and takes place in clinic (Tuesdays only) or online. You will have the opportunity to discuss your presenting symptoms/conditions, and we will explore all of the systems in your body to see how they could be contributing to your health challenges.

Your naturopathic nutrition plan will be presented within a few days of the initial consultation. Please note that this will always take place online . This will be organised during the initial consultation and will last 30 minutes.

  • During the 30-minute in-person follow-up appointment, we will discuss your progress, how you have implemented the plan, and any changes to your presenting symptoms.

As before, the revised nutrition plan is presented online and last 15 minutes.

  • After the first two appointments it may be appropriate to continue working together. A subsequent appointment will last 30 minutes with the nutrition plan presented online over 15 minutes. A maximum of 16 weeks from the last consultation.

I partner with the Beach House Chiropractic Clinic, holding an in-person clinic on Tuesdays only. I also run a separate online clinic. A few days after the consultation, the nutrition protocol is presented online. This is regardless of whether you are seen in person or online for the consultation.

FAQs

Where are the consultations?

I holds an in-person clinic at the Beach House Chiropractic Clinic on Tuesdays. Online consultations are available Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays

How do I book a consultation?

Follow this link to book in-person consultations. For online consultations, please go to the contact page and fill out the enquiry form.

How is payment made?

In-person consultations are paid when booked via the Jane app. To pay for online consultations, you will be emailed a PayPal link.

Why is the booking/payment process different for IN-PERSON and online consultations?

The Beach House Chiropractic clinic manages the in-person consultations. For simplicity, I process online appointments separately.

How quickly can I have an appointment?

Before your appointment, there are pre-clinic forms to fill out. This includes a 3-day food diary. I ask to receive this information 24 hours before the appointment. In total, there can be a minimum of 4 days from booking to initial consult, depending on availability.

What Is The Cancellation/Refund policy?

Cancellation and full refund is available up to 5 days before your consultation. Please understand that this is because I am unable to fill spaces quickly. Appointments can be rescheduled with 24-hour notice at no penalty.

How will we proceed if further testing is required

A test may be available via your GP, and you will be referred back to your doctor. A private functional test may only be available through a qualified practitioner. In that case, I will send you a link to make a payment. The results come directly to me, and I will forward them to you.

Does the nutrition plan include supplements?

Supplements are an additional cost. I will only suggest appropriate supplements, most of which will be advised for a short time. Most supplements will be available from the Natural Dispensary, and I will share my 15% discount code with you.

Do you work with vegans?

Unfortunately, I do not work with vegans/ exclusively plant-based. My own experience as a vegan demonstrated that this is not an eating pattern that suits everyone. Many excellent nutritionists believe in a plant-exclusive diet, and I recommend you seek them out.

Do you work with Cancer Patients?

Yes. I am keenly interested in cancer and developing my expertise in this area. Nutrition is often a driving factor in cancer development, and making positive food choices can empower patients during difficult recovery periods.
